Research Projects
Title: Design and Development of Methods for
Compensatory Reduction in Water Cooling Towers
Organisation: Isfahan Power Plant
Duration: From 21 – April – 2005 To 11– April – 2006
Summary:
Isfahan power plant uses wast amount of water due to old technology and impaired equipment. In this project, the goal was to develop the systems of cooling towers of the power plant to reduce water consumption and of course increase efficiency.
Outcomes and Benefits:
-
Changing the process of cooling water;
-
Developing the systems of cooling towers;
-
Reduction of about 12% in monthly water consumption;
-
Vast increase in the efficiency of the power plant; and
-
Giving technical knowledge and designing plans of the new cooling systems.
