Project context:

Mining haul trucks operate under variable load, haul-road and duty-cycle conditions. The project converted equipment and operating data into practical fuel-reduction recommendations.

Expanded objectives:
  • Integrate haul-truck telemetry, fuel-related signals, payload, route, grade, speed, engine load and cycle data.

  • Develop predictive models that separate unavoidable fuel consumption from controllable operating losses.

  • Identify opportunities in idling, speed management, haul-road condition, payload control and truck-shovel interactions.

  • Translate analytical outputs into practical recommendations for operators, maintenance planners and site leadership.

  • Create a verification approach to compare baseline and post-intervention fuel performance.
