As the Global Advanced Analytics Program Leader, I oversaw the analytics and AI programs lifecycle within the Global Digital Transformation Program.

Responsibilities
  • Managed a $10-15 million budget and a team of full-time employees and global partner resources.

  • Established a robust BI, ML, and AI framework, focusing on agile methodologies and innovative approaches for rapid value recognition.

  • Led the development of the Advanced Analytics COE, contributing to Vale's recognition as one of the world's most innovative companies.

  • Implemented AI strategies at the executive board level, focusing on sustainable AI solutions and R&D.

  • Managed programs generating over $80 million annually in audited benefits, optimizing supply chains, asset health, and compliance processes.

  • Directed global cross-functional teams in successfully deploying AI and advanced analytics solutions across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with Vale's strategic goals.

  • Collaborated with senior leadership and operational teams to prioritize and drive high-impact analytics initiatives, improving decision-making processes across the organization.

  • Championed the integration of predictive maintenance solutions, reducing downtime and improving asset reliability across mining operations.

  • Developed and implemented data governance and quality assurance practices, ensuring consistent and accurate data for advanced analytics applications.

  • Fostered a culture of innovation by leading initiatives that encouraged the adoption of AI and machine learning technologies throughout the company.

  • Managed relationships with key external partners and vendors, ensuring the successful delivery of advanced analytics projects and technology implementations.
